Kvadrat Launches in Australia, Building on its Global Design Legacy
After 23 successful years operating jointly as Kvadrat Maharam, Kvadrat and Maharam will continue as independent entities from 1 July 2025.
This marks a significant milestone for Kvadrat with its official launch in Australia and New Zealand. With a new showroom opening in Sydney and an existing location in Melbourne, supported by dedicated sales teams in Brisbane and Perth Kvadrat establishes a dedicated local presence, directly supporting the region’s architects, designers and clients. Internationally recognised for its progressive design textiles and unparalleled colour expertise, Kvadrat now brings its complete product and service offering to Australasia.

Founded in Denmark in 1968, Kvadrat draws from Scandinavia’s distinguished design tradition, consistently setting new standards in textile aesthetics, functionality and sustainability. Kvadrat prioritises sustainable design. The majority of its products are created from natural, renewable or recycled materials such as textile waste, post-consumer plastics and recycled aluminium. The company continually improves production techniques to extend product lifecycles and remains dedicated to achieving net-zero emissions by 2040.
