In Nature We Trust
In collaboration with multidisciplinary design studio TABLEAU and Studio Patricia Urquiola, Kvadrat presents IN NATURE WE TRUST – an immersive installation and the latest textile collection by Patricia Urquiola that proposes a novel way of working with nature. The new collection comprises two upholstery textiles, Forestview and Regos, and three curtain textiles, Woodtrace, Grassland, and Daybreak 3, launching in November 2025.
Through these textiles, Patricia Urquiola presents the concept that nature is not a metaphor, but a method which sees every material and gesture as part of a larger constellation of interrelations. When viewed from this perspective, nature is not something to observe or imitate, but a system to inhabit. A set of dynamic, generative principles that shape how we live and how we design.
Patricia Urquiola:
“In Nature We Trust is about shifting how we see nature – not as something separate from us, but as something we’re fully part of. We’re not outside looking in. We are nature, connected through systems of exchange and transformation.”
TABLEAU’s installation offers an interpretation of Urquiola’s vision. They have transformed the Kvadrat showroom into a woven landscape where texture, light, and form come together to evoke the calming embrace of a forest – inviting visitors to slow down, reconnect and reflect.
Branches wrapped in the textiles have been transformed into organic sculptures, with some suspended from above and others positioned throughout the space, evoking the quiet, immersive imitation of a forest. Textiles hang from the ceiling in graceful, soft, flowing volumes, drape elegantly over the furnishings, and are carefully wrapped around the columns, enveloping them in texture and blurring the lines between structure and decoration.

“With this installation, our intention is to create an artwork that offers tranquillity and peace — a moment of pause in the midst of everyday life. At the same time, it reflects the origins and inspirations of the textile collection, grounding visitors in both nature and craft. It’s about weaving together serenity and storytelling, allowing people to feel connected to the material and the world it comes from.”
