Maximum flexibility and attention to detail when W+ launches V by Foster + Partners Industrial Design at 3daysofdesign
V draws subtly on the classic banker’s lamp – echoing its clear, angular expression, while reinterpreting it as contemporary and sculptural. Visually light and controlled, with a smallfootprint and fluid positioning, V supports comfort and focus in equal measure – whether used on a home desk, at a workstation, or in a library.
V is available in a range of powder-coated finishes – including traffic white, graphite black, ruby red, and traffic yellow – as well as in wet-painted aluminium. Its sophisticated surfacetreatments and finishing processes help enhance durability and material integrity. The aluminium dimmer creates a subtle contrast in both material and texture.
V’s slim design, natural movement, and variety of mounting options allow for easy adjustability for different tasks and situations. Its V-shaped shade is combined with a stem that canbe vertical or angled, allowing up to 340 degrees of rotation.
V’s geometry creates a wide, even spread of light across the working surface, improving illumination while controlling glare. A dimmer switch with a memory function is discreetlyintegrated into the back of the horizontal pole, and excess power cable can be neatly concealed in the underside of the base. The lamp’s efficient composition allows for flat-pack transportation and ease of maintenance, with individual components designed to be replaced over time.
The aluminium used in V consists of 97 % post-consumer recycled material by weight – combining lightweight efficiency with a lower carbon footprint.
