FRAMING COMPOSITIONS

For 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen, Carl Hansen & Søn has opened its doors to a new and grandiose flagship store in Bredgade, showcasing the exhibition FRAMING COMPOSITIONS. Here, guests are invited to explore compositions of design – classics and novelties – from multiple angles, discovering how form, material, and tradition come together in a dynamic yet timeless expression.

The flagship store will set the stage for an abundance of novelties spread across more than 600 sqm on the ground floor, mezzanine and rooftop terrace, showcasing the best of Danish design and craftsmanship. The CH290 Series by Hans J. Wegner will play a starring role with its stringent and informal expression, as will the CH621 Swivel Chair – one of Wegner’s rare office chairs. Nanna & Jørgen Ditzel’s Vita Sofa and coffee table impress with their playful shapes that encapsules the designers’ bold and expressive design approach.

The Wall Desk is Anker Bak’s take on a workstation for tiny living, and Børge Mogensen’s extendable circular BM0121 dining table is sturdy yet delicate and full of functional details. Lighting architect Marianne Tuxen’s Tulip.

Pendant blends classic elegance with a modern design idiom, while Vilhelm Lauritzen’s slender yet sumptuous Foyer Bench presents itself in a short version.

Upstairs, the rooftop terrace offers a tranquil setting for Carl Hansen & Søn’s vast collection of outdoor furniture, with special focus on the new Embrace Outdoor Lounge Series by EOOS.
