Kvadrat Shade
– announcement – Apo & Clearview – Cradle to Cradle Certification
Kvadrat Shade is proud to announce that its metallised roller blind textiles, Apo and Clearview, have achieved Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze status. This significant certification highlights the company’s dedication to innovation and positions Apo and Clearview as ideal choices for projects aiming to earn credits under leading green building frameworks such as LEED®, BREEAM, and DGNB.
The Importance of Cradle-to-Cradle Certification
The Cradle to Cradle Certified® standard is globally recognised for promoting products designed with circularity, safety, and environmental responsibility in mind. It evaluates products based on five essential criteria: material health, material reuse, renewable energy, water stewardship, and social fairness. Achieving this certification underscores that Apo and Clearview meet rigorous environmental and health standards, making them a valuable asset in sustainable building practices.
Apo and Clearview
Apo and Clearview are free from PVC and PFAS, engineered to deliver high performance while prioritising environmental and human health. These textiles provide flame retardancy and UV resistance for enhanced safety and durability, as well as low VOC emissions to promote healthier indoor air quality. Additionally, their metallised layer enhances solar reflectance, optimising thermal and visual comfort by effectively managing heat and light. By reducing heat and light penetration, Apo and Clearview lower energy consumption for heating and cooling, offering a sustainable solution without compromising on comfort or performance.
The incorporation of Apo and Clearview into building projects enables stakeholders to align with performance requirements and sustainability goals. These textiles are designed to support green building certifications and the increasing emphasis on compliance with global environmental standards.
Effortless Project Integration
To simplify project planning, Kvadrat Shade offers a Tender Specification Generator. This intuitive tool ensures efficient and accurate specification development, saving time while supporting adherence to sustainable building standards.
