The Aurora, the Scandinavian-based international collector weekend celebrating iconic cars, yachts, art and lifestyle, confirmed its position as one of the world’s most distinctive automotive events during its third edition at Norrviken Gardens in Båstad, Sweden. Welcoming a record audience, a sold-out Saturday, and a programme defined by global premieres, leading manufacturers, and a world-class Concours d’Elegance – alongside a yacht show and curated cultural and hospitality experiences.
The Aurora’s unique dual-concours concept welcomed both classic cars and hypercars, creating an extraordinary and eclectic mix of vehicles and guests.
The event attracted members of the Swedish Royal Family, including Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia, alongside notable personalities such as actor Fares Fares, Chef Mathias Dahlgren and Olympic medalist Johannes Klæbo, as well as international car collectors, leading automotive manufacturers and enthusiasts, making it one of the world’s most distinctive automotive weekends.
This year’s edition set a new attendance record, welcoming more than 16,500 local and international visitors, further cementing The Aurora’s position as the world’s most groundbreaking Concours.
With BMW Group and J.P. Morgan Private Bank as main partners, Koenigsegg as Hypercar Partner, and MOTIKON as Classic & Sports Car Partner, The Aurora further strengthened its position as an international collectors’ event with a distinct Scandinavian identity.
“Every summer, The Aurora brings together collectors, extraordinary cars, and exceptional vessels. This year was no exception. For the third year in a row, we were proud to return as sponsor celebrating the region’s heritage and innovation. It’s a privilege to support The Aurora and reaffirm our commitment to the Nordics. The patience, craft, and long-term intent on display reflect the same principles that underpin a thoughtful wealth plan.” , said Oscar Forsberg, Market Manager for the Nordics at J.P. Morgan Private Bank.

A weekend showcasing the finest in the Automotive world
The Aurora 2026 presented several concours and exhibition cars, ranging from historic icons and racing cars to modern hypercars, exclusive limited-edition super cars, and significant new models.
Among the weekend’s main highlights were:
Scandinavian premiere of the Ferrari Amalfi Spider
World’s first public appearance of the Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II
The world’s first public appearance of the full-scale 1:1 Koenigsegg LEGO model (inspired by the first customer-specification Sadair’s Spear, which recently set the world record as the fastest LEGO car)
Unveiling of the Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster
World’s first production Koenigsegg Gemera
World’s first customer-delivered Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear

The premieres reflect The Aurora’s growing role as an international platform for both automotive heritage and the future of design and technology.
– The Aurora has, in a very short time, established itself as a refreshing addition to the world’s leading concours events, and it truly shows, said Christian von Koenigsegg, CEO & Founder Koenigsegg
A True Dual Concours at the Heart of the Weekend
At the center of the event was The Aurora Concours – a unique dual-concours with 70 participating cars. Both classic cars and modern hypercars were presented and judged with equal status and significance.
The concours was judged by an international jury led by Chief Judge Julius Kruta, together with Carolina Keller-Breucha, Eugenio Amos, Tobias Reichle, Gianluca Pellegrini and Stephan Bauer.
– It was an incredible weekend featuring the very best the automotive world has to offer. The Aurora has never been only about showcasing cars; it is about creating a complete experience around extraordinary vehicles, where collectors, manufacturers, partners, and enthusiasts come together in an environment that feels both international and unmistakably Scandinavian, said Filip Larsson, founder and CEO of The Aurora.

The Aurora – more than a Concours
Throughout the weekend, The Aurora offered far more than the concours itself. Visitors experienced The Aurora Talks, Vogue Scandinavia Talks, The Aurora Yacht Show, partner exhibitions, automotive brand activations, test drives with BMW and Ferrari, live music, The Aurora Symphony, curated food and beverage experiences, dinners, cocktails, parties, and a black tie gala & charity dinner at Villa Abelin. The Aurora Showfield added another dimension by bringing together enthusiasts, cars and personal stories from across the automotive community.
Motikon also played an important role throughout the weekend, welcoming clients, collectors and enthusiasts to its stand and hosting a cocktail reception together with the Family Club in the VIP Garden, underscoring The Aurora’s role not only as a concours, but as a social meeting point for the wider collector car world.
“The Aurora is proving that Scandinavia can host an automotive event on the same level as the very best in the world,” said Stefan Teuchert, President & CEO BMW Group Northern Europe. “For BMW Group, it is a privilege to be part of an event that brings together international collectors, world-class cars, a strong motorsport theme and such a distinctive atmosphere. This year, we were able to present BMW’s heritage, performance spirit and future design direction in a setting that felt both truly global and unmistakably Scandinavian. The energy in Båstad is something very special — premium, passionate and welcoming — and it shows why The Aurora is becoming an important fixture on the international automotive calendar.”
The Aurora Luminaries Award brought together a selected jury of digital creators and cultural tastemakers to judge the concours field through a broader lens of beauty, taste and cultural relevance, beyond traditional concours criteria. The 2026 jury comprised Araminta Reed (@mintlikescars), Roland-Philippe Kretzschmar (@theartbystander) and Callum Mullin (@callumscars_), each invited to champion a car that resonated with their own perspective on design, style and storytelling. This year’s Aurora Luminaries Award was presented to the 1953 Ford SAF Comète, recognised for its elegance, rarity and distinctive artistic presence.

During its third edition, The Aurora continued to establish its own identity within the international concours scene. By combining dual-concours with world premieres, cultural programs, exceptional hospitality and a relaxed Scandinavian atmosphere, The Aurora offered a fresh perspective on the modern collectors’ event.
– The Aurora’s greatest strength lies in bringing together different worlds: classic cars and hypercars, collectors and new audiences, tradition and innovation – all within a weekend that feels warm, social, and full of life, says Eduard M. Michel Franssen, co-founder of The Aurora.
During The Aurora, a charity auction was held in support of Project Playground, the Official Social Impact Partner of The Aurora. The auction was a huge success, raising SEK 2.6 million for the organization.
Planning for The Aurora 2027 is already underway, with further announcements to follow.
